The Long Run

East Branch, Sacandaga River, Adirondacks, NY.

After a couple of days of heavy rain, the East Branch of the Sacandaga was running high. Normally wadable, there was no crossing the river this day. As the shoreline where I crouched was deep in shadow, I used HDR on two exposures to retain color in the sky and detail in the shadows. This was a bit above the confluence of the two forks.
