Schroon Lake, Adirondacks, NY.
Late November, chilly, leafless, bleak. On a foggy morning, I found myself towards the bottom end of Schroon Lake in patchy early morning fog, and even the fog was anemic. So monochromatic was the scene, that I could have been drifting by the little island as easily as the knee-high ground fog drifting by me. Although something in the scene appealed to me, in later review resulting images were too blue and too blah. Fast forward a year: In revisiting the file this week, I thought maybe a crop and a black & white treatment might better suit the composition. Processed in Photoshop using Silver Efex Pro.
