Adirondacks, NY. The forest was beginning to take on the lighter greens and creeping into yellows as the season changed to autumn. I wandered along Glen Brook, into the deeper shadows, which made the forest above seem brighter, even on this gray day. After a rainy spell, the brook was up, flowing faster, like life itself seems to be these days. I wonder, if I stood ankle deep in the water, if the current would tug at me...urging me to stay shallow and go with the flow. Knee deep, I would move upstream, better to keep my balance, which is precarious lately, tipping in the wrong direction. I let my thoughts take me soul deep, and hope for redemption.
