Schroon River, Adirondacks, NY.
Three dry boulders caught my eye and became the foreground of this scene on the Schroon River, which reflected the green of late afternoon light that fell on pines lining the far bank. A polarizer left some clarity under the water, belying how deep this river actually is. I processed two exposures about 2/3 of a stop apart, in Photomatix, trying to get some more texture and saturation in the water (although I left the actual Saturation slider alone, adding no color other than the raw takes).
