Raquette Lake, Adirondacks, NY.
The lake spreads out and hosts a big sky. At sunset,it easily accomodates the evening color, the far shores too far to blot out the horizon. On this evening I was treated to some action as a trio in a canoe glided through the pickerel weed from the lake and channeled up South Inlet, sillouhetted against a brighter background, arguing over what color it should be.
