Lake George, Adirondacks, NY. Having climbed the hiker's trail, I am following human and animal trails along the top. Direction: North. Looking South, down the misty length of Lake George, I bask in the morning warmth of this shelter of East facing rock , a little place I've spied off the trail and come down to. I think of all the famous places I've gone to, eager to see inspiring vistas. But here I am, captivated by a subtle beauty I didn't expect, didn't know I'd be drawn to. How is it that we think we moving in a direction, but they find out we didn't know the way? Maybe I didn't know where I was going after all.
