Indian Autumn

Lower Ausable Lake, Adirondacks, NY.

At the far end of the Adirondack Mountain Reserve, I clambered around the cliffs of Indian Head. The peaks of Colvin and Blake continued the ridge to my left, and the mountains of the Great Range-Sawteeth, Gothics, and Armstrong--faced me to the west. Below, a couple of red pixels against the blue is a canoe, barely leaving a wake on the surface of Lower Ausable Lake. The lake pierces the two ranges like a giant exclamation, with the Upper namesake as the point. This is a stitch of 5 vertical images.
