Gentle showers before dawn made me wonder if things were really going to clear, but shortly after sunrise the rain stopped and patches of blue appeared. So I stopped at Barnum and wandered the forest a ways, taking the paths that led to shoreline. This was an obvious spot fishermen used, as I did, hopping rocks to get a bit further out. Across from a point on the far shore, the old sky moved above me, slowly, as the front gently pushed it eastward, and barely a ripple broke that mirrored surface cast from above.
